Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe SAN, Past Chairman, NBA Lagos Branch attends NBA-SLP Conference in Jos, Plateau State, where he interacted with lawyers and made vital contributions to the theme of the Conference – “uncommon challenges in a rapidly changing legal environment”.
The learned silk also presented a paper on the topic – “An overview of the handshake between public interest litigation and democracy” – where interalia he commended the NBA and the NBA-SLP on their efforts in public interest litigation and charged them to do more.
At the conclusion of the Young Lawyers Debate, he financially supported the participants and encouraged the NBA and the SLP to continue in capacity building and sponsorship of more Young Lawyers’ activities within the NBA.
He also commended the NBA-SLP for an insightful and thought provoking conference.
